Assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Asperger’s Syndrome are comprehensive evaluations used to diagnose these conditions. These assessments typically involve a combination of parent or caregiver interviews, direct observation, standardized questionnaires, and developmental history reviews. The goal is to identify characteristics such as difficulties with social interaction, communication challenges, repetitive behaviors, and specific interests. These tools help clinicians understand an individual’s unique strengths and challenges, leading to personalized support and interventions to improve their quality of life.
